Changing System Settings

To change any of the system settings, click on “System Settings” in the “Admin” sub menu. A page containing the current system settings will be displayed.

Here is a list of the system settings you can modify as needed. If you edit any of these settings, make sure you fully understand what they do first. An improper setting can cause My Click Boss Pro to not function properly.

User Information

User Name:
This is the name the script uses to address you.

Login Email Address:
This is the email address you use to login to the My Click Boss Pro admin area. Changing this will require you to login again to the admin area.

Login Password:
This is the password you use to login to the My Click Boss Pro admin area. It can only contain letters and numbers. Changing this password will require you to login again to the admin area.

Alert Email Address:
This is the email address that My Click Boss Pro will send alert messages to.

Script URLs

Tracker URL:
This is the URL to the tracker.php file.

Rotator URL:
This is the URL to the rotator.php file.

Pixel Tracker URL:
This is the URL to the image.php file.

Advanced Pixel Tracker URL:
This is the URL to the adv-image.php file.

Pixel Redirector URL:
This is the URL to the pr-go.php file.

Image Load Test URL:
This is the URL to the imagetest.php file.

GEO Location Data

GEO Service Company:
This is set to the GEO service company you are using. It can be set to MaxMind, ip2loacation or none. Setting this to “none” turns off GEO tracking and features.

GEO Database Name:
This is the name of the GEO database you are using. Leave it blank if you are not using GEO tracking.

Default Tier 1 Country Codes:
When creating or editing a click tracker or rotator link, you will see several buttons by fields that you can click that are labeled “T1 Country Codes.” Clicking on one of these buttons auto fills the country codes that are entered in this field into the associated field.

You can change what country codes are used by these buttons by entering them here in this field.

Enter the country codes separated by a comma. Do not enter any spaces. Here is an example.

AU,CA,NZ,GB,US

If you are using enhanced selection boxes, simply select the countries from the dropdown list.

Stats URL

Client Stats URL (Click Tracker):
This is the URL to the stats.php file.

Client Stats 2 URL (Rotator Link):
This is the URL to the stats2.php file.

404 Page URLs

Tracker 404 URL:
This is the URL that My Click Boss Pro will send all traffic that comes in on a missing or invalid click tracker link.

This URL supports the pass through query builder language. Please see the manual section on pass through data handling for more information.

Rotator 404 URL:
This is the URL that My Click Boss Pro will send all traffic that comes in on a missing or invalid click rotator link.

Machine Paths

Path To Alert Email Template File:
This is the machine path to the alert email template text file. Please note that this is a machine path and NOT a URL.

Click Trackers Default Settings

Test Destination URL?:
If you would like to test the main destination URL of a click tracker when creating a new click tracker by default, you can set this field to “Yes”, otherwise set it to “No.”

Default Country Codes Accepted:
If you would like a list of country codes automatically inserted in the “Default Country Coded Accepted” field when creating a new click tracker, enter them in this field.

Enter the country codes separated by a comma. Do not enter any spaces. Here is an example.

US,CA,AU

For a list of supported country codes, see the resources section of this manual.

If you are using enhanced selection boxes, simply select the countries from the dropdown list.

Default Country Codes Not Accepted:
If you would like a list of country codes automatically inserted in the “Default Country Coded Not Accepted” field when creating a new click tracker, enter them in this field.

Enter the country codes separated by a comma. Do not enter any spaces. Here is an example.

US,CA,AU

Default Custom Clicks Country Codes:
If you would like a list of country codes automatically inserted in the “Default Custom Clicks Country Codeds” field when creating a new click tracker, enter them in this field.

If you are using enhanced selection boxes, simply select the countries from the dropdown list.

Rotator Links Default Settings

Total Clicks to Send (999999999 = Basically Unlimited):
Entering a value in this field will set a default value to be used when creating a new click tracker. When you create a new click tracker, the Total Clicks to Send field will be populated with this value. It can be overwritten when creating a new click tracker when desired.

Daily Click Limit (999999999 = Basically Unlimited):
Entering a value in this field will set a default value to be used when creating a new click tracker. When you create a new click tracker, the Daily Click Limit field will be populated with this value. It can be overwritten when creating a new click tracker when desired.

Test Destination URL?:
If you would like to test the main destination URL of a rotator link when creating a new rotator link by default, you can set this field to “Yes”, otherwise set it to “No.”

Standard Pixel Tracking Default Settings

Allow Duplicate Pixel Fires?:
If you would like to allow duplicate pixel fires to be recorded for the same IP address visiting the same page slug, select Yes. Otherwise select No.

Default Pixel Fire Attribution:
This filed let’s you select what click tracker a standard pixel fire will be recorded for. You can select one of the following options.

Last Click Tracker
First Click Tracker
All Click Trackers

Bot and Crawler Blocking Settings

Block All Anonymous Proxies? (Click Trackers):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will block all anonymous proxies currently in the Maxmind GEO database received by click trackers. To use this feature you must be using the Maxmind GEO database.

Block All Anonymous Proxies? (Rotators):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will block all anonymous proxies currently in the Maxmind GEO database received by click rotators. To use this feature you must be using the Maxmind GEO database.

Block All Amazon AWS IP Addresses? (Click Trackers):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will block all Amazon AWS IP addresses received by click trackers that are currently in the database.

Block All Amazon AWS IP Addresses? (Rotators):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will block all Amazon AWS IP addresses received by click rotators that are currently in the database.

Block All Search Engine Crawlers? (Click Trackers):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will block all search engine crawler IP addresses received by click trackers that are currently in the database.

Block All Search Engine Crawlers? (Rotators):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will block all search engine crawler IP addresses received by click rotators that are currently in the database.

Use Aggressive Bot Blocking? (Click Trackers):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will aggressively block bots received by click trackers. Please report any bots that get through as well as the blocking of valid clicks. Include the IP address and user agent string when reporting.

Use Aggressive Bot Blocking? (Rotators):
Setting this setting to “Yes” will aggressively block bots received by click rotator. Please report any bots that get through as well as the blocking of valid clicks. Include the IP address and user agent string when reporting.

Blocked Clicks URL (Click Trackers):
If you want the clicks blocked by the above settings to go to a specific URL, enter that URL in this field. Don’t forget the http:// or https://. This field is for click tracker clicks that have been blocked.

Blocked Clicks URL (Rotators):
If you want the clicks blocked by the above settings to go to a specific URL, enter that URL in this field. Don’t forget the http:// or https://. This field is for rotator clicks that have been blocked.

Cookie Tracking

Use Cookie Tracking?:
Setting this to “Yes” will turn on surfer cookie tracking. If the surfer has cookies blocked, the IP address will be used for tracking instead.

Cookie Expiration Time Seconds (0 – 315360000):
Set this field to the number of seconds you would like a cookie to last. After this number of seconds, the cookie will expire and be removed. Setting this field to 0 will set a sessions cookie that will expire when the user closes their browser.

These settings can be overridden at the click tracker and rotator levels.

Other Settings

Use Enhanced Selection Boxes?:
Set this setting to “Yes” to use enhanced selection boxes. Set it to “No” to use plain text fields for entering data.

Currently enhanced selection boxes are implemented for all country selection fields.

My Click Boss Pro License Key

License Key (Case Sensitive):
License will be issued to all valid purchasers. If you have already been issued a license key, enter it here. If you have not, you can open a support ticket to have a license key issued to you.

This key will be needed during script upgrades. It is also used to identify a valid licensed user during some support requests.

Subscription Information

Subscription Email Address:
If you have a monthly subscription, enter the email you used during the purchase of the subscription in this field. This will also be used for automated updates in the future.

Subscription Password:
This field is reserved for future use.

API Data

API Password:
Reserved for future use.

API Security Code:
Reserved for future use.

After modifying any of the system settings, you will need to click the “Update” button to save the changes.
